I’m a Website Designer in Oxfordshire

I’m currently Lead Website Designer and head the design team for AutoExposure, the Dealer Production arm of Motors.co.uk (Part of DMGT). I role I took in March 2010 after relocating to Oxfordshire from Derbyshire.

I’m responsible for the work load of the design team and liaising with our Telesales and Field Sales departments as well as the directors of the company to make sure all deadlines are met and the design of the sites are at the highest standard. Since the launch of our new platform in April, I have managed 98 new website design cases with 74 of them already live (August 2011).

I also deal with our ‘Key Account Clients’ designing and building websites for some of the biggest car dealerships in the UK.

Other roles include the design of sales collateral and email marketing campaigns to help promote our latest dealer products, another part of the company I am involved with heavily. Taking new products from initial ideas through to design, development, training for sales and promotion. This includes everything from Design, Photography, Sales incentives and Customer Care.

I’ve also worked for Mansfield based Design Agency Linney Design. Working on artwork for Yamaha Motor Europe, Monster Energy Drink, Coors Brewers and Olympus Europe.

Responsibilities included contacting the client and sending through multiple versions of the artwork un till the client was 100% happy, Checking artwork to make sure it was suitable for print, Packaging and uploading artwork to printers.

I have a expert knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and Dreamweaver and i’m currently researching to further my knowledge in .net and CSS. I work on a PC daily and Mac at home so fluent across both operating systems.

As well as working in design I also consider it my hobby. I’m always researching new design as well as keeping up to date with recent trends by reading websites like Smashing Magazine and Web Designer Wall. I also spend most of my time looking after my 4 year old little boy.

My other hobbies include Motorsports, Football, Swimming, Music and Computers. I enjoy walking in the Cotswolds and reading, My favourite author being Terry Pratchett.

Up un till earlier this year, I sang and promoted my own band. Arranging tours, advertising and studio time as well as all the design work for posters and t-shirts.
